Goodwill of Central Iowa is seeking a Full-Time Shift Leader for the Ankeny South location. You will coach and train donated-goods retail staff, manage operations, cash handling, pricing, and customer service in a supportive environment aligned with our values.

The role offers a starting wage of $16.00/hour with an additional $1.00/hour on Saturday and Sunday shifts, plus monthly bonus eligibility and annual merit increases based on performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent or currently attending high school or GED classes.
• A minimum of 2 years of any combination of military service, high school or related paid employment.

Responsibilities

• Coaches and trains store employees using various platforms including in-person, online, and written processes.
• Provides valuable work performance feedback to employees.
• Coaches and assigns work to team to meet sales and production goals.
• Supports the Mission Services department and activities through the round‑up program.
• Provides excellent customer service and responds effectively to customer needs.
• Assists in pricing and rotating donated goods to achieve production and sales goals.
• Monitors production and sales to support Goodwill of Central Iowa’s mission.
• Maintains daily communication logs to organize and assign work.
• Monitors new employee training progress.
• Maintains store appearance standards including cleanliness, signage and fixtures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
