Job summary

Goodwill of Central Iowa is seeking a Full-Time Shift Leader to support operations and training for donated-goods retail. You’ll coach staff, manage opening/closing, process donations, and ensure great customer service under our values of love, kindness, and respect.

The position offers a starting wage of $16.00/hour with an additional $1.00/hour on weekend shifts, plus monthly bonuses and annual merit increases.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to run cash register, computer, carts and racks; forklift possible.
• Independent, flexible and adaptable to change.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Basic math and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) knowledge.
• Pass criminal background and related checks.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coaching and training store employees and opening/closing the store.
• Handle operational procedures and provide excellent customer service.
• Process and price donated goods, maintain store cleanliness and organization.
• Train staff using in-person, online, and written processes.
• Monitor performance and support achievement of sales and production goals.
