Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking an experienced retail leader in Michigan to join our store leadership team. You will oversee staffing, training, and day-to-day operations to deliver exceptional customer service while achieving sales goals and reducing shrink.

The role requires strong communication, conflict resolution, financial analysis, and the ability to mentor team members across departments. A passion for development and safety is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to staff, select and hire to meet store needs.
• Promotes succession planning and career development for team members.
• Ability to apply disciplinary actions and make discharge recommendations when needed.
• Able to manage P&L, sales goals and shrinkage in department.
• Models exceptional, fast and friendly customer service.
• Mentor and coach team members to surpass sales goals.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous, friendly, efficient service to customers and team members to uphold a positive image.
• Staff, select, and hire to meet staffing needs.
• Promote succession planning and career development within the team.
• Document and apply disciplinary actions; advise on discharges.
• Manage P&L, achieve sales targets and control shrink.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain Meijer standards.
• Communicate the Meijer Friendly Initiative in meetings and conversations.
