Hy-Vee is seeking a Service Manager to keep the store running smoothly by supervising employees and coordinating activities across departments. You will lead by example, manage schedules, handle customer issues, oversee merchandising and compliance, and step in wherever the store needs you most.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent experience required.
• Two or more years of similar or related work experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to supervise and coordinate employees across departments.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service by greeting customers with a smile and assisting as needed.
• Lead by example and maintain positive employee relations storewide.
• Plan, prepare, and adjust work schedules; assign duties and ensure timely completion.
• Supervise store activities or perform work across all job levels in the Department Manager's absence.
• Ensure proper customer service and address issues promptly and professionally.
• Train employees on store policies, procedures, and safety.
• Monitor performance and consider promotions or transfers when appropriate.
• Enforce safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
• Handle cash registers and transactions with accuracy.
• Support merchandising and display planning and store operations.
