Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two or more years of similar or related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service by greeting customers with a smile and learning their names.
• Lead by example and maintain positive employee relations across the store.
• Plan, prepare, and adjust work schedules, assign tasks, and ensure timely completion of duties.
• Supervise and coordinate activities of employees across all store areas in the Department Manager's absence.
• Address customer issues promptly and professionally to ensure satisfaction.
• Train employees on store policies, procedures, and job duties; provide ongoing education on updated policies.
• Evaluate employee performance and recommend promotions, transfers, or disciplinary actions.
• Enforce safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment and handle incident reports as needed.
• Manage merchandise orders, deliveries, quality checks, and discrepancies between orders and received stock.
• Oversee ad and promotional displays, ensure product quality and stock levels meet demand.
• Review managerial data such as sales and inventory reports; understand payroll basics.
• Handle cash registers and related transactions per company policy.
• Assist with cost-saving initiatives and shelf optimization strategies.
