Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. is hiring for a store associate at the N. ORL-COVINGTON, LA location.

You will assist customers, help locate products, and ensure a fast, friendly checkout experience with proper cash handling. You will enroll customers in Rewards and Private Label Credit Cards, support BOPIS/SFS, and participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram duties while keeping the store in stock and well-merchandised.

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods and move throughout the store.
• Ability to bend, lift, carry, reach, and occasionally climb.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions.
• Provide a fast, friendly checkout with proper cash handling.
• Enroll customers in the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards.
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer survey.
• Assist with BOPIS and Ship From Store processes.
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram duties.
• Ensure in-stock, well-merchandised store and manage merchandise recovery.
• Support shrink and safety programs and SOP adherence.
• Interact respectfully and model Michaels values; cross train in Custom Framing.
