Job summary

Michaels Lafayette, IN is hiring for a store associate role. You will help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions, while delivering a fast checkout experience with accurate cash handling.

You will engage customers in Rewards and credit card enrollments and support omnichannel processes like BOPIS and Ship From Store. Responsibilities include truck unloading, stocking, planograms, and maintaining well-merchandised, in-stock shelves.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to engage customers and suggest solutions.
• Comfort with cash handling and point-of-sale procedures.
• Familiarity with Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS) processes.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions.
• Provide fast, friendly checkout experience and accurate cash handling.
• Promote Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards; enroll customers.
• Educate customers on Voice of Customer (VOC) survey.
• Assist Omni-channel processes including BOPIS and SFS.
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs).
• Maintain store recovery, in-stock shelves, and merchandise integrity.
• Support shrink and safety programs; follow SOPs and company policies.
