Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking a Loss Prevention Specialist to safeguard store assets, monitor for theft, and support store leadership in maintaining a secure environment. You will interact with customers and Associates, deter misconduct, and uphold company policies.

The role requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a commitment to safety and team collaboration in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• One year retail supervisor experience or similar training preferred.
• One year loss prevention/security training preferred.
• Active Security Guard License preferred
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with the Store team.
• Excellent Customer service skills.
• Proven ability to effectively resolve conflict.
• Must be able to comply with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations for security positions, including but not limited to, additional background screening, physical examination, fingerprinting and/or drug and alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for Associates and Customers.
• Greet customers with eye contact and a courteous demeanor.
• Monitor entrances/exits and sales floor for potential theft indicators.
• Assist Store Leadership in Loss Prevention directives.
• Minimize operational shortages through process improvements.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners as needed.
