Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking a dedicated Loss Prevention Specialist to help maintain a safe, secure store environment. You will greet customers, deter theft, and support leadership in minimizing shortages while representing the Ross brand with professionalism.

The role requires strong communication, the ability to work in a fast-paced setting, and alignment with Ross values. Prior loss prevention or security training is preferred, as is a valid Security Guard License.

Qualifications

• One year retail supervisor experience or similar training preferred.
• One year loss prevention/security training preferred.
• Active Security Guard License preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with the Store team.
• Excellent Customer service skills.
• Proven ability to effectively resolve conflict.
• Must be able to comply with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations for security positions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for Associates and Customers.
• Greet Customers with eye contact and a friendly demeanor at entrances/exits and on the sales floor.
• Assist Store Leadership in loss prevention directives and minimize operational shortage.
• Represent and support the Ross brand with professional appearance and conduct.
• Monitor for potential theft indicators and communicate findings to Leadership.
• Train and educate Associates on shortage reduction initiatives and proper checkout procedures.
