Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking a Loss Prevention Specialist to maintain a safe environment for Associates and Customers. You will project a confident, courteous presence at store entrances in issued vest and comply with Code 50 inspection policies, deterring theft and supporting store leadership.

You will monitor the sales floor for suspicious activity, partner with leadership to minimize shortages, and uphold the Ross brand through professional appearance and strong customer service.

Qualifications

• One year retail supervisor experience or similar training preferred.
• One year loss prevention/security training preferred.
• Active Security Guard License preferred
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with the Store team.
• Excellent Customer service skills.
• Proven ability to effectively resolve conflict.
• Must be able to comply with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations for security positions, including but not limited to, additional background screening, physical examination, fingerprinting and/or drug and alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for Associates and Customers.
• Provide visible command presence at store entrances/exits and on the sales floor.
• Monitor for potential safety issues and maintain safe egress.
• Provide great Customer service with a friendly demeanor.
• Treat all Customers and Associates with respect; recognize Associates using programs.
• Involvement with internal/external partners and meetings as needed.
• Support Loss Prevention initiatives and related duties.
• Represent and support the Ross brand with professional appearance.
• Observe and validate proper checkout procedures and educate Associates.
