Job summary

Builders FirstSource is seeking a retail sales associate to assist customers in selecting products, provide pricing and availability information, and process orders and deliveries. You will engage customers, prepare quotes, and support daily store operations.

The role emphasizes strong communication, teamwork, and willingness to learn new technologies, with safety and accuracy in performing tasks within a retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required or equivalent.
• Six months sales-related experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provides customer service to walk-in, phone, or email customers, assisting with product selection, pricing, and availability.
• Provides material estimates and quotes for small packages (stairs, decks, fences, sheds, etc.).
• Enters orders into the system and schedules delivery of products.
• Plans and paces own work to meet daily/weekly/project goals.
• Coordinates and conducts customer workshops.
• Handles and resolves simple customer complaints and escalates complex issues to senior staff.
• Assists with store housekeeping, signage, stocking, and inventory control.
