Job summary

Builders FirstSource is seeking a customer-focused retail associate to assist walk-in customers and handle product selection, pricing, and delivery coordination. You’ll provide quotes for small projects and enter orders while supporting daily store operations and inventory control.

Ideal candidates have a HS diploma or GED with some sales experience, strong communication skills, and familiarity with ERP and MS Office. This role is on-site with ongoing customer service and safety responsibilities.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED and 6 months sales-related experience or equivalent.
Knowledge of product pricing, discounts and estimating formulas/guidelines.
Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Assist retail customers with product selection, pricing, availability, refunds or exchanges.
Provide material estimates and quotes for small packages like stairs, decks, fences, sheds.
Enter orders into system and schedule delivery of products.
Support store operations including housekeeping, signage, stocking and inventory control.
Address customer inquiries and resolve simple complaints; escalate complex issues.
