Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. is seeking a Sales Manager for our Phoenix metro store to drive a high-performing selling culture and deliver strong sales results with an engaging customer experience.

Lead front-end and service operations, coach teams on selling behaviors, and ensure execution of brand standards and SOPs. The role requires 3+ years of retail leadership, with availability for nights, weekends, and early mornings, and will involve managing POS and loyalty programs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Ability to lead adherence to SOPs and company programs.
• Strong customer experience and selling behaviors.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading SOPs and company programs.
• Ensure policy compliance and store conditions.
• Model and coach Customer Experience and ART of Selling behaviors.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage and floor leadership.
• Oversee POS, Self-Checkout, and omni-channel service execution.
• Drive Kohl-like loyalty enrollment and retention strategies.
• Lead Knit & Sew Shop and Cut Bar experience oversight.
• Support BOPIS and Same Day Delivery operations.
• Train and develop team members through onboarding and coaching.
