Job summary

The Michaels Companies in Exton, PA is seeking a Sales Manager to lead a high-performing selling culture across the store, manage front-end and service operations, and drive key sales and service KPIs. You will coach, develop and mentor team members, ensure SOPs and safety standards, and oversee POS, BOPIS, and in-store programs.

This role requires strong leadership, customer focus, and the ability to work nights, weekends, and early mornings.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading and managing adherence to SOPs and Company programs.
• Ensure execution of Company policies and standards; hold team accountable for store conditions and results.
• Model and coach Customer Experience and ART of Selling behaviors to drive conversion and satisfaction.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage; maintain floor leadership and service standards.
• Oversee POS and Self-Checkout operations for smooth transactions.
• Lead specialized programs (Balloons, Loyalty Rewards, MCC/Extend services) and omni-channel orders (BOPIS, Same Day Delivery).
• Train, coach, and develop team members through onboarding and ongoing skill-building.
• Partner in Asset Protection to reduce shrink; maintain safe operations.
