Job summary

The Michaels Companies, Inc. is seeking a Sales Manager for the Scottsdale, AZ area to lead a high-performing selling culture and drive strong sales while delivering an engaging customer experience. You will oversee front-end and service operations, ensuring brand standards and SOPs are followed across daily activities.

Responsibilities include coaching staff, managing MOD coverage, optimizing POS usage, and driving loyalty program participation to boost retention and store performance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Experience leading front-end and service operations to drive KPIs.
• Ability to coach customer experience and selling behaviors.

Responsibilities

• Lead and champion a high-performing selling culture across the store.
• Oversee front-end and service operations to ensure brand standards and SOPs are followed.
• Coach and develop team members through training and onboarding.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage and maintain floor leadership and service standards.
• Promote loyalty programs and protect assets while driving omni-channel service (BOPIS, Same Day Delivery).
• Support framing and specialty departments (Knit & Sew Shop, Custom Framing where applicable).
• Ensure accurate use of POS and Self-Checkout systems and support customer transactions.
