Job summary

The Michaels Companies, Inc. is seeking a Sales Manager for the BAY-UNION CITY store in California.

The role leads front-end and service operations, champions selling behaviors, and supports achieving store KPIs through coaching and day-to-day leadership. You will ensure SOP compliance, drive customer satisfaction, and oversee in-store programs such as balloons, loyalty, and framing services while maintaining strong asset protection practices.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading and managing adherence to SOPs and Company programs.
• Ensure execution of Company policies and standards, holding team accountable for store conditions and results.
• Model and coach Customer Experience and ART of Selling behaviors to drive conversion and customer satisfaction.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage, maintaining floor leadership and service standards.
• Oversee POS and Self-Checkout systems for smooth transactions and support.
• Promote and enroll customers in the Loyalty Rewards Program to drive retention.
• Drive sales and operational excellence in key departments and omni-channel fulfillment.
• Train, coach, and develop team members through onboarding and skill-building.
