Job summary

The Michaels Companies is hiring a Sales Manager in Alameda, CA to lead a high-performing selling culture across the store. You will drive sales results, coach staff, and ensure brand standards and SOPs are followed while delivering an engaging customer experience.

You will supervise front-end operations, support POS/Self-Checkout, and coordinate in-store programs and events to enhance loyalty and omni-channel service. Must be able to work nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Strong customer-service focus and coaching skills.
• Ability to manage in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading SOPs and Company programs to ensure compliance.
• Ensure policies and standards are followed, with accountability for the team.
• Model and coach Customer Experience and ART of Selling behaviors to drive conversion.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage, sustaining floor leadership and service standards.
• Oversee POS and Self-Checkout usage and omni-channel order fulfillment.
• Train, coach and develop team members through onboarding and ongoing coaching.
