Job summary

Kirkland's in Newark, DE is seeking a Sales Leader who is customer-obsessed with strong product knowledge and superb presentation skills. You will drive in-store and online selling, lead by example, and collaborate with the Store Manager to execute business plans and operational processes.

You will coach the team to greet, re-engage, educate, add-on, and thank customers, while upholding Kirkland's values of Customer Commitment and Winning Attitude. Weekend/evening availability required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; college preferred.
• Minimum 1 year management experience in retail or service.
• Strong communications skills and customer selling experience required.
• Energetic, people and results oriented, competitive with a drive to succeed.
• Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Leads, supports and values customer selling in-store and online (ship to store).
• Fosters a customer-obsessed culture prioritizing greeting, re-engaging, educating, adding on, and thanking.
• Understands role in sales growth and contributes to store profitability.
• Reads customer cues to create an exceptional in-store experience.
• Educates customers on loyalty programs, promotions, and merchandise assortment.
• Acts as a brand ambassador, treating customers and coworkers with respect and professionalism.
• Leads by example, ensures policy compliance and SOP adherence.
• Performs MOD duties: opening/closing, supervision, daily operations.
• Assists with freight processing, stockroom organization, pricing, and inventory accuracy.
