Job summary

Kirkland's, Inc. is seeking a Sales Leader who is customer obsessed, blends strong product knowledge with visual presentation, and partners with the Store Manager to execute store plans.

You will mentor the team, model professional customer interactions, and drive selling behaviors in both in-store and ship-to-store experiences.

This role requires weekend/evening availability, a high energy level, and a commitment to Kirkland’s values while protecting assets and inventory.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; college preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of management experience in retail or service industry.
• Strong communications and customer selling experience required.
• Energetic, people and results oriented with a drive to succeed.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Leads, supports and values customer selling in both in-store and online (ship to store) shopping experience.
• Fosters a customer-obsessed culture prioritizing greeting, re-engaging, educating, adding on and thanking each customer.
• Understands role in sales growth and its impact on store profitability.
• Reads cues and responds to customers to create an exceptional in-store experience.
• Educates customers on loyalty programs, promotions and merchandise assortment to build baskets.
• Acts as brand ambassador, treating customers and coworkers with respect while supporting company goals.
• Leads by example, supports and enforces all company policies and procedures.
• Executes Manager on Duty (MOD) responsibilities: opening/closing, supervision, etc.
• Assists in freight processing, stockroom organization, merchandising directives, pricing and inventory accuracy.
