Job summary

Michaels Stores is seeking a Sales Manager in the United States to lead a high-performing team and champion a top customer experience. You will oversee front-end operations, POS usage, loyalty programs, and omnichannel services while coaching staff to meet KPIs across store functions.

The role requires strong leadership, adherence to SOPs, and capability to drive sales in a fast-paced retail environment, including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience
• Ability to work nights, weekends and early mornings
• Strong customer-focused coaching and leadership
• Experience with POS and Self-Checkout systems

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading and managing SOPs and Company programs to ensure compliance with laws.
• Ensure execution of policies and standards, holding team accountable for store conditions and results.
• Model and coach Customer Experience and ART of Selling behaviors to drive conversion and satisfaction.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage, maintaining floor leadership and operational continuity.
• Ensure accurate use of POS and Self-Checkout systems for smooth transactions.
• Oversee balloons, birthday party operations and in-store programs and events.
• Promote and enroll customers in the Loyalty Rewards Program to drive retention.
• Champion MCC/Extend services and protection plan offerings.
• Drive sales and operational excellence in Knit & Sew Shop and Cut Bar experience.
• Ensure efficient execution of BOPIS and Same Day Delivery.
• Support Custom Framing operations with customer consultations and coordination.
• Train and develop team through TM onboarding and ongoing skill-building.
• Partner in Asset Protection to reduce shrink and ensure safety.
