Job summary

Michaels is seeking a Sales Manager in the San Diego area to lead front-end and service operations with a strong customer focus. You will coach staff, drive selling behaviors, and ensure brand standards across all activities from POS to loyalty programs.

The role requires 3+ years of retail leadership, the ability to manage busy store operations, and willingness to work nights, weekends and early mornings. Compensation is base pay with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Ability to stand and move in a store for long periods.
• Ability to lift 25-50 pounds and climb ladders or step stools.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading and managing SOPs and Company programs.
• Ensure policy and standard execution and hold team accountable.
• Model and coach customer experience and selling behaviors to drive conversion.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage and maintain floor leadership.
• Oversee POS and Self-Checkout accuracy and customer support.
• Promote and enroll customers in Loyalty Rewards Program.
• Drive sales and service consistency in Knit & Sew Shop and related areas.
• Oversee BOPIS and Same Day Delivery and omni-channel service.
• Support Custom Framing operations and frame shop coordination.
• Train, coach, and develop team members through onboarding and ongoing skill-building.
• Maintain Asset Protection practices and reduce shrink.
