Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. is seeking a Sales Manager for the Port Orange, FL store to lead a high-performing selling culture, drive sales results, and deliver an engaging customer experience.

You will oversee front-end operations, coach staff on selling behaviors, and support omni-channel service and events. Responsibilities include enforcing SOPs, using POS systems efficiently, managing store programs, and promoting the Loyalty Rewards Program while developing team members and protecting

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Ability to remain standing for long periods and move throughout the store.
• Ability to lift and carry merchandise and fixtures up to 25-50 pounds with or without accommodation.
• Work hours include nights, weekends and early mornings.
• Commitment to following SOPs and company programs to ensure compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and champion a high-performing selling culture to drive sales results and customer experience.
• Oversee front-end and service operations, ensuring brand standards and operational expectations.
• Coach team on Customer Experience and ART of Selling behaviors to improve conversion and satisfaction.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage, maintain floor leadership, and ensure seamless day-to-day operations.
• Ensure effective use of POS and Self-Checkout systems and support smooth transactions.
• Oversee in-store programs and events including balloons, parties, and Knit & Sew Shop activities.
• Promote Loyalty Rewards Program and protection plans to drive retention and upsell.
• Train, coach, and develop team members through onboarding and ongoing skill-building.
• Support Asset Protection and shrink reduction through awareness and safe operations.
