Job summary

The Michaels Companies, Inc. is seeking a Sales Manager for the JAX-Orange Park, FL store to lead a high-performing selling culture, oversee front-end and service operations, and drive strong sales results.

You will coach, develop, and energize the team to deliver an engaging customer experience and achieve KPIs. Responsibilities include SOP adherence, policy execution, and ensuring efficient POS usage, loyalty program participation, and omni-channel service.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading and managing SOPs and Company programs to ensure compliance with laws and requirements.
• Ensure execution of Company policies and standards, holding team accountable for store conditions and results.
• Model and coach Customer Experience and ART of Selling behaviors to drive conversion and customer satisfaction.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty (MOD) coverage, maintaining floor leadership and operational continuity.
• Ensure accurate use of POS and Self-Checkout systems for smooth transactions and customer support.
• Oversee Balloons, birthday party operations, and other in-store programs and events.
• Promote and enroll customers in the Loyalty Rewards Program to drive retention.
• Champion MCC/Extend services, including protection plans and offerings.
• Drive sales and operational excellence in Knit & Sew Shop and oversee Cut Bar experience.
• Ensure efficient execution of BOPIS and Same Day Delivery for timely orders."
• Support Custom Framing operations with customer consultations and coordination with frame shop.
• Train and develop team members through on-boarding and ongoing skill-building across departments.
• Maintain Asset Protection practices to reduce shrink through awareness and compliance.
