Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. is seeking a Sales Manager for the Toledo-Holland, OH store to lead front-end operations, coach the team, and drive sales and customer satisfaction.

You will oversee POS and Self-Checkout, loyalty programs, and in-store events such as balloons and custom framing, while ensuring safety, SOPs, and adherence to brand standards. Expect nights, weekends, and early mornings as part of store leadership responsibilities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Experience leading front-end and service operations.
• Ability to coach customer-focused selling behaviors and drive KPIs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage SOPs and company programs to ensure legal compliance and standards.
• Coach and develop team to deliver best-in-class customer experience and selling behaviors.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage and uphold floor leadership and service standards.
• Oversee POS, Self-Checkout, and omni-channel fulfillment (BOPIS/Same Day Delivery).
• Drive loyalty program enrollment and protect and promote MCC/Extend services.
• Support special shops and in-store programs (Knit & Sew Shop, framing, balloons).
• Train staff through onboarding and ongoing skill-building.
