Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Middle Tennessee, Inc. in Cookeville is seeking a Retail Sales Floor Team Lead to elevate the shopper experience and oversee front end operations. You will lead cash handling, ensure accurate transactions, and uphold brand standards on the sales floor.

The role focuses on coaching cashiers, managing queue flow, maintaining merchandising standards, and delivering friendly, efficient service to shoppers while supporting store readiness and safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s degree in related field preferred.
• 1–2 years experience in production, warehouse, retail, or logistics.
• Strong communication and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules including weekends.
• Bilingual language skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead Front End & Cash Operations daily, including registers and queue management; act as point person for cashiers.
• Maintain a clean, organized sales floor with proper visual merchandising and recovery.
• Greet shoppers, provide friendly service, and assist with questions, exchanges, and returns.
• Support opening/closing activities, safety, cleanliness, and adherence to policies; escalate issues to Store Leadership as needed.
