Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Middle Tennessee is seeking a Retail Sales Floor Associate to support a positive shopper experience by keeping the store clean, organized, and well merchandised. You will handle front-end transactions, assist customers, and ensure merchandise presentation aligns with established standards throughout your shift.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in retail, customer service, or production preferred.
• Ability to deliver friendly, respectful shopper service.
• Follow established processes, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Basic math skills and attention to detail for accurate transactions.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift as required in a retail environment.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of a consistently positive shopper experience by maintaining a clean, organized store environment.
• Greet, respect, engage, assist, and thank every shopper.
• Process point-of-sale transactions and manage customer flow at the front end.
• Support shop-ready merchandising standards through timely recovery and basic replenishment.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety across shopper-facing areas.
• Assist shoppers with questions, product location, fitting rooms, and checkout needs.
• Support signage placement, price accuracy, fixture organization, and product presentation.
• Complete assigned tasks to support overall store readiness, including recovery and merchandising support.
• Support opening and closing routines to ensure the store is ready at the start and end of day.
• Follow cash-handling, pricing integrity, and loss-prevention procedures.
• Maintain a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
