Job summary

CITITRENDS, Inc. in-store Sales Associate delivers excellent customer service and maintains product knowledge to drive satisfaction and sales. This role requires proactive engagement with customers, integrity, clear communication, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will process transactions, assist with price changes, maintain register accuracy, help with merchandising, and support loss prevention and store management as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent communication and organization skills.
• Able to work flexible schedule including nights/weekends.
• Basic math skills for transactions.

Responsibilities

• Processes freight.
• Assisting with price changes/markdowns.
• Balances register according to company policy.
• Bags merchandise efficiently when completing a customer's transaction.
• Handles all cash, checks and credit cards correctly and by company policy.
• Obtains management approval when needed for returns, voids and checks.
• Handles maintenance and housekeeping duties as assigned.
• Provides proper customer service such as greeting customers, abiding by fitting room policies, ringing customers in promptly, thanking customers, and inviting them to return.
• Follows all safety procedures.
• Maintains professional appearance and wears name tag.
• Assists management in merchandising on the sales floor according to stock levels.
• Explains exchange/refund policies to customers after transactions.
• Supports Store Manager with Loss Prevention procedures, including reporting theft and following policies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
