Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. in Temple, PA seeks a Sales Manager to lead a high-performing selling culture across the store, overseeing front-end and service operations, and driving strong sales results and an engaging customer experience.

You will coach teams on store standards, execute POS and customer-service processes, manage events and promotions, and ensure safety and operational excellence while meeting KPI targets.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and champion a high-performing selling culture across the store.
• Oversee front-end and service operations ensuring brand standards and SOPs are followed.
• Coach and develop team members through structured onboarding and ongoing training.
• Provide MOD coverage and maintain floor leadership, service standards, and operational continuity.
• Ensure accurate use of POS and Self-Checkout systems and support smooth transactions.
• Drive omni-channel service with effective BOPIS and Same Day Delivery execution.
• Promote loyalty programs and protection plans to increase customer retention.
• Manage events and programs (Balloons, Knit & Sew Shop, framing) and drive sales.
