Job summary

Rack Room Shoes in Lafayette, IN is seeking a friendly retail associate to provide outstanding customer service, meet sales goals, and process all transactions accurately at the POS while following company policies.

You will lead by example in presenting merchandise, maintaining clean and organized departments, staying informed on current promotions, and assisting in inventory. Teamwork with store management and other staff is essential.

Qualifications

Interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively with external contacts (customers) and with all levels of employees.
Basic communication, organization, and math skills.
Experience in retail sales, preferably specialty retail or footwear.
Basic knowledge of the policies and procedures.
Basic visual merchandising skills and an understanding of Store Presentation Standards.

Responsibilities

Create an excellent shopping experience for customers through awareness and company service standards.
Maintain awareness of all current sales promotions.
Maintain merchandise presentation and stock organization.
Develop and maintain product knowledge and fitting skills.
Participate in loss prevention concerns and store cleanliness.
Assist in inventory, shipping/receiving, and merchandise placement when needed.
Process all sales and POS transactions according to policy.
