Job summary

Rack Room Shoes is seeking a customer-focused associate to uphold service standards and help meet sales goals. You will lead by example in accuracy and completeness of work, while supporting store management in daily operations to present the store and its merchandise positively to customers.

You will handle cash and POS transactions, ensure accurate sales documentation, and contribute to a welcoming shopping experience in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Interpersonal skills to deal effectively with customers and employees.
• Basic communication, organization, and math skills.
• Experience in retail sales, preferably footwear.
• Basic knowledge of company policies and procedures.
• Basic visual merchandising and store presentation knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Create an excellent shopping experience for customers through service standards and selling initiatives.
• Promote current sales promotions and rewards programs.
• Maintain merchandise presentation and ensure stock is well organized.
• Develop product knowledge and fitting skills.
• Monitor loss prevention concerns involving customers and staff.
• Assist in inventories, shipping/receiving, and merchandise placement as needed.
• Process cashier transactions accurately and in line with policy.
• Ensure shoes are checked for mates during checkout.
