Job summary

Rack Room Shoes is seeking a Store Sales Associate to deliver great customer service and meet sales targets while following store policies. You will lead by example in accuracy and completeness of work and handle cash and POS transactions with care.

You will promote promotions, maintain merchandise presentation, and support inventory activities. Strong communication and math skills, plus retail experience, are essential to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• Interpersonal skills to deal effectively with customers and staff.
• Basic verbal and non‑verbal communication, organization, and math.
• Retail sales experience, preferably in footwear or specialty retail.

Responsibilities

• Create an excellent shopping experience through awareness and company service standards.
• Maintain awareness of current sales promotions.
• Maintain merchandise presentation and store cleanliness and organization.
• Develop and maintain necessary product knowledge and fitting skills.
• Maintain awareness of loss prevention concerns involving customers and staff.
• Participate in inventory, shipping and receiving merchandise as needed.
• Process cashier transactions and ensure shoes are checked for mates.
