Job summary

GGP in Riverside, CA is seeking an Operations Manager to ensure cost-effective operation, maintenance, and long-term preservation of a premier retail asset. The role supports the (Sr) General Manager in achieving property-specific metrics and coordinating construction, safety, and vendor oversight.

You will lead facilities teams, manage contracts, and drive sustainability initiatives while maintaining strong tenant relations and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2+ years in shopping centers or equivalent management and leadership.
• 3+ years of facilities operations or construction management preferred.
• Strong understanding of commercial building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical).
• Experience with blueprints, CAD drawings, and schematics.
• Strong leadership and relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office and project tools.

Responsibilities

• Operate a clean, well-maintained property and provide guests with a positive shopping experience.
• Oversee assets to ensure maintenance meets standards in the most economical way.
• Develop multi-year capital and operating expense plans and projects.
• Cultivate strong tenant relationships and coordinate with tenant contractors.
• Implement preventative maintenance programs and vendor compliance.
• Ensure safety systems are code compliant and properly documented.
• Support safety, health, and environmental programs and sustainability efforts.
• Monitor utility consumption and building systems controls.
• Manage direct reports and coordinate with corporate departments.
• Coordinate with local officials and community stakeholders.
