Job summary

GGP seeks an Operations Manager to oversee the cost-effective operation, maintenance, and long-term preservation of a retail asset. You will support the Sr.

General Manager in achieving property metrics, manage capital and operating plans, and supervise a team across facilities, safety, and vendor oversight. The role requires strong leadership, knowledge of building systems, and the ability to manage multiple projects, contracts, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2+ years experience in shopping centers or equivalent management.
• 3+ years of facilities operations or construction management preferred.
• Strong understanding of commercial building systems, HVAC, plumbing and electrical.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal and relationship building skills.
• Good working knowledge of financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Effective writing and communication skills to supervise, train and direct teams.

Responsibilities

• Operate a clean, well maintained property delivering a positive shopping experience.
• Oversee physical assets to maintain standards cost-effectively.
• Prepare and manage multi-year capital and operating plans with cost-control strategies.
• Develop tenant relationships and ensure compliance with lease requirements and construction timelines.
• Implement preventive maintenance programs and ensure contractor compliance.
• Ensure safety systems are code compliant and all required safety reports are posted.
• Support Sustainability initiatives to reduce the property's carbon footprint.
• Monitor utilities and building control technologies to optimize efficiency.
• Lead and develop direct reports while ensuring policy compliance.
• Coordinate with corporate functions to meet property and company objectives.
• Engage with local officials and community stakeholders to support operations.
