Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Middle Tennessee, Inc. seeks a Retail Production Team Lead to manage backroom operations, oversee donation intake, processing, sorting, pricing, and material handling while upholding safety, quality, and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s degree preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience in production, warehouse, retail, or logistics.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to lead a diverse team and promote an inclusive culture.
• Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the store.
• Forklift certification/training provided by the organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily backroom production operations including donation intake, sorting, processing, pricing, and material handling.
• Provide hands-on leadership to backroom staff to ensure production goals and quotas are met.
• Ensure safety, quality, and processing standards; maintain backroom safety and cleanliness.
• Coordinate movement of processed goods from backroom to sales floor in alignment with store priorities.
• Train, onboard, coach, and develop backroom team members on production processes and safety requirements.
• Adhere to organizational policies, loss prevention practices, and CPSC requirements.
