Job summary

Grand Traverse Resort is seeking a capable Retail Shop Supervisor to oversee operations in the Gallery, ensuring guest service and adherence to guidelines. You will lead shop teams, coordinate with the Retail Manager and Buyer, manage schedules, assist with purchasing, and train new hires while maintaining stockrooms, orders, and paper flow.

This role requires at least 2 years retail experience and strong communication in English, with proficiency in Excel and Word.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of retail experience is needed.
• Supervision experience desirable.
• Familiarity with Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Maintain excellent guest service.
• Report concerns or ideas from guests to Retail Manager.
• Coordinate with Retail Buyer to ensure inventory levels.
• Assist with special orders and purchasing workflow.
• Assist Retail Manager with daily/weekly staff schedules.
• Train new hires and mentor staff.
• Organize stockrooms and maintain operation manuals.
• Ensure proper paperwork flow from transfers to receiving.
• Maintain ice cream supplies and café inventory.
• Maintain high cleanliness standards.
• Handle contracts, setup and execution of events with guidance from Retail Manager and Buyer.
