Job summary

The Home Depot is offering an Operations Assistant Store Manager in Training (OASM-IT) program in New York. This role provides hands-on experience across store operations, customer service, and profitability, working closely with Store Managers and ASMs to develop leadership and operational skills.

During the up-to-6 week training, you’ll learn to manage Customer Service Desk, Receiving, Tool Rental, Order Fulfillment, Lot Loaders, and Back Office activities while upholding safety and company

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a structured training program covering all aspects of store management, including operations, customer service, sales and profitability.
• Learn staffing, scheduling, stock management, and performance review processes; assist in disciplinary actions when necessary.
• Drive customer service and associate engagement through the store and model GET culture.
• Plan merchandise placement, signing, and inventory integrity, and learn to manage daily financial operations.
• Adhere to company policies, SOPs, safety compliance, and shrink mitigation strategies.
