Job summary

The Home Depot is seeking an Operations Assistant Store Manager in Training (OASM-IT) to gain hands-on experience across store operations, customer service, and profitability. You will work with the Store Manager, ASMs, and field teams, learning to manage associates, sales, safety standards, inventory, and store presentation while leading by example during a training period of up to six weeks.

During the OASM-IT training you will learn to execute key responsibilities, including opening/closing

Qualifications

• Must be eighteen years of age or older.
• Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
• 3 years of work experience with 2+ years of leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a structured training program covering operations, customer service, sales & profitability, and policies.
• Supervise associates in selling efforts and maintain service quality.
• Plan merchandise placement and inventory integrity; operate store equipment and systems.
• Perform opening, closing, and other store-wide responsibilities; enforce SOPs and safety.
• Ensure safety compliance and incident prevention; uphold hazmat guidelines.
