Job summary

The Home Depot is seeking an Operations Assistant Store Manager in Training (OASM-IT). You will gain hands-on experience across store operations, safety, customer service, and profitability while training under Store Manager and ASMs.

You’ll learn to lead by example in areas like Customer Service Desk, Receiving, Tool Rental, Order Fulfillment, and Back Office. During the 6‑week training period, you will develop leadership, planning, and problem‑solving skills to drive sales and department

Qualifications

• Must be eighteen years of age or older.
• Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Minimum 3 years of work experience.
• 2+ years of leadership experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a structured training program covering store management, operations, and policies.
• Learn staffing, scheduling, stock control, and customer issue resolution.
• Understand performance management and disciplinary processes for associates.
• Assist in opening/closing MOD duties and adherence to SOPs, safety, and shrink mitigation.
• Collaborate with Store Manager, ASMs, and field teams to drive sales and profitability.
