Job summary

Buckle is seeking a Management Trainee at our Houston Galleria location. The role trains to become Store Manager, performing sales, merchandising, and operational tasks while leading teammates and ensuring exceptional Guest service.

The position emphasizes coaching, recruitment, and daily leadership responsibilities, with opportunities to manage store operations in the Manager’s absence and potentially relocate within the district.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred, or related retail experience.
• Retail experience and/or training may substitute education.
• Strong leadership and coaching skills for teammate development and store performance.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales and guest service to create an exceptional shopping experience.
• Recruit, train and develop teammates; participate in interviews; coach and counsel as needed.
• Lead operations, including opening/closing, policy adherence, loss prevention and stock management.
• Supervise and collaborate with Store Manager to onboard new hires and maintain high store standards.
• Travel to cover other stores within the district as needed and act as Store Manager in their absence.
