Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking a Loss Prevention Agent to support store safety and loss prevention programs across our network. You will monitor stores for theft, document incidents, and partner with investigations teams to resolve cases.

The role requires 1–2 years in loss prevention or security, strong communication, and the ability to work with internal partners and law enforcement. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, with in-office presence required.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent required; AA degree preferred.
• 1–2 years experience in loss prevention, retail, or security.
• Ability to work independently and in a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to collaborate with internal/external partners including law enforcement.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to build relationships with associates at all levels.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to solve problems with urgency and good judgment.
• Comply with applicable laws, background screening, and other requirements for security positions.

Responsibilities

• Monitor store entrances, exits, sales floor, and checkout to identify theft or fraud.
• Observe and engage individuals exhibiting dishonest actions.
• Use CCTV and reporting tools to detect indicators and validate incidents.
• Document incidents, maintain evidence, and provide reports to leadership and investigations.
• Partner with leadership and law enforcement to resolve theft cases and support apprehensions.
• Assist with trespass enforcement for repeat offenders per policy.
• Collaborate with internal teams on major theft incidents and investigations.
• Identify and report safety hazards and operational vulnerabilities to store management.
• Perform additional duties to support loss prevention objectives.
