Job summary

Ross Stores seeks a Loss Prevention Agent to monitor store safety, deter theft, and document incidents across our nationwide locations. You will work with LP Field Leaders and investigators to resolve cases and support our integrity-driven approach.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in loss prevention or security, strong written and verbal communication, and the ability to collaborate with police and internal partners. A high school diploma is required; an AA degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-2 years experience in loss prevention, retail, or security.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external partners including law enforcement.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain working relationships with associates at all levels of the organization.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively problem solve with the proper sense of urgency.

Responsibilities

• Monitor store entrances, exits, sales floor, and checkout areas to identify theft or fraudulent behavior.
• Observe and engage individuals exhibiting dishonest actions to prevent potential loss.
• Utilize CCTV, reporting tools, and investigative resources to detect theft indicators and validate incidents.
• Accurately document incidents, maintain evidence, and provide timely reports to leadership and Investigations teams.
• Partner with leadership and law enforcement to resolve theft cases and support apprehensions when authorized.
• Assist with trespass enforcement for repeat offenders in compliance with company policy.
• Collaborate with internal teams on major theft incidents and contribute to follow-up investigations.
• Identify and report safety hazards and operational vulnerabilities to store management.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support loss prevention objectives.
