Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent required, AA degree preferred.
• Minimum 1–2 years experience in loss prevention, retail, or security.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external partners including law enforcement.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain working relationships with associates at all levels of the organization.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively problem solve with the proper sense of urgency.
• Must comply with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations for security positions, including background screening and drug testing.
• Ability to make quality judgments with minimal response time.

Responsibilities

• Monitor store entrances, exits, sales floor, and checkout areas to identify theft or fraudulent behavior.
• Observe and engage individuals exhibiting dishonest actions to prevent loss.
• Utilize CCTV, reporting tools, and investigative resources to detect theft indicators.
• Accurately document incidents and provide timely reports to leadership.
• Partner with leadership and law enforcement to resolve theft cases and support apprehensions when authorized.
• Assist with trespass enforcement for repeat offenders per policy.
• Collaborate with internal teams on major theft incidents and follow-up investigations.
• Identify safety hazards and operational vulnerabilities to store management.
• Perform additional duties to support loss prevention objectives.
