Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent required; AA degree preferred.
• 1–2 years experience in loss prevention, retail, or security.
• Able to work independently or in a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with internal and external partners including law enforcement.
• Must be able to comply with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations for security positions, including background checks and testing.

Responsibilities

• Monitor store entrances, exits, sales floor, and checkout areas to identify theft or fraudulent behavior.
• Observe and engage individuals exhibiting dishonest actions to prevent loss.
• Utilize CCTV, reporting tools, and investigative resources to detect theft indicators and validate incidents.
• Document incidents, maintain evidence, and provide timely reports to leadership and investigations teams.
• Partner with leadership and law enforcement to resolve theft cases and support apprehensions as directed.
• Assist with trespass enforcement for repeat offenders per policy.
• Collaborate with internal teams on major theft incidents and follow-up investigations.
• Identify and report safety hazards and operational vulnerabilities to store management.
