Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking a Loss Prevention Specialist to provide a visible presence at store entrances and exits, deterring theft and maintaining a safe environment for associates and customers. You will greet customers, monitor for suspicious activity, and partner with leadership to minimize loss and ensure compliance with security directives.

The role requires a one-year retail supervisory background, a security-minded approach, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• One year retail supervision experience or similar training.
• Loss prevention/security training preferred.
• Active Security Guard License preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with the Store team.
• Excellent Customer service skills.
• Proven ability to effectively resolve conflict.
• Must comply with federal and state laws for security positions.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe and secure environment at store entrances/exits and on the sales floor.
• Provides visible command presence and courteous greetings in a Ross-issued vest.
• Monitors for safety issues and ensures clear egress to emergency exits.
• Supports Loss Prevention initiatives and collaborates with Store Leadership.
• Represents Ross brand with professional appearance and behavior.
• Performs duties to minimize theft indicators and shrinkage.
