Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking a security-focused Specialist to protect store entrances, monitor for suspicious activity, and maintain a safe shopping environment for customers and Associates.

You will greet customers, deter theft, and support Loss Prevention initiatives while upholding Ross values and dress code standards. The role emphasizes collaboration with Store Leadership, strong communication, and a proactive approach to reducing shortage and enhancing customer experience across busy Ross

Qualifications

• One year retail supervisor experience or similar training preferred.
• One year loss prevention/security training preferred.
• Active Security Guard License preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with the Store team.
• Excellent Customer service skills.
• Proven ability to effectively resolve conflict.
• Compliance with applicable laws for security positions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe and secure environment at store entrances/exits.
• Greet customers and deter theft with visible presence.
• Monitor for potential safety issues and address them.
• Work with Store Leadership to minimize operational shortage.
• Train and educate Associates on shortage reduction initiatives.
• Ensure proper checkout procedures and customer service standards.
• Support Loss Prevention initiatives and respond to incidents.
