Job summary

Buckle in Layton, UT is seeking a Management Trainee to support sales, merchandising and store operations while preparing for a Store Manager role. You will train Teammates, recruit talent, and partner with the Store Manager to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Responsibilities include leading sales initiatives, maintaining visual standards, managing daily operations, and stepping in as Store Manager when needed while upholding Buckle’s customer service standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; or 1–3 months related retail experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to travel and cover other stores within the district based on business needs.
• Strong leadership, coaching and guest service skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet Guests with a friendly, engaging attitude and provide legendary service.
• Recruit, train and develop Teammates to meet Buckle standards.
• Assist Store Manager with coaching and counseling Teammates; participate in interviewing and onboarding.
• Lead in sales initiatives, product knowledge and merchandising while maintaining Buckle standards.
• Operate store procedures, opening/closing, and loss prevention in the Store Manager's absence.
