Job summary

The Sherwin-Williams Company in Maine is seeking candidates for the Assistant Manager Trainee Program. This accelerator trains you to become a Store Manager in 18–24 months, with an initial 6–8 week training phase and a promote-from-within philosophy.

During the program you will work with store management on a million-dollar business, learn operations, sales and marketing, and build relationships with commercial customers, while preparing for future leadership opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen years old.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Must have a valid, unrestricted Driver's License.
• Must have a High School diploma or GED.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and 70 lbs occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Complete training consistent with established program.
• Support business strategies to increase sales and profitability.
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service.
• Build and maintain knowledge of all products for effective recommendations.
• Build positive relationships with wholesale and retail customers.
• Complete store administration.
• Ensure compliance with safety, loss prevention, and security policies.
• Maintain store condition and visual merchandising standards, including promotional displays.
• Support employee training, development, performance management, and corrective action.
• Respond to and resolve customer or employee complaints.
• Partner with Store Manager to make outside sales calls to increase market share.
