Job summary

The Sherwin-Williams Company is launching an Assistant Manager Trainee Program in New Hampshire, designed to prepare new hires for Store Management within 18–24 months. The program emphasizes leadership, sales, and operations, with progression to an Assistant Store Manager role after initial training.

Typical duties include managing customer relations, merchandising, and staff development, while enabling growth through formal discussions on objectives and career pathways.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail, sales or customer service preferred.
• Prior leadership experience or supervising teams is a plus.
• Willingness to relocate for future opportunities.
• Ability to read/write/communicate in more than one language, including Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Assist in overseeing store operations and driving sales strategies.
• Collaborate with store management to grow market share among contractors and commercial customers.
• Provide excellent customer service and product knowledge to customers.
• Build relationships with wholesale and retail customers to promote sales.
• Maintain store administration and execution of merchandising standards.
• Support loss prevention, safety policies, and security procedures.
• Assist in training and coaching team members for performance.
• Engage in outside sales calls with Store Manager to expand business.
• Respond promptly to customer and employee inquiries and resolve issues.
• Participate in the development and execution of promotional packages and displays.
