Job summary

The Sherwin-Williams Assistant Manager Trainee Program is an accelerated, entry-level path designed to prepare current employees for a Store Management role in 18–24 months. With a promote-from-within culture, you may advance to an Assistant Store Manager upon successful completion of the initial training.

This program runs roughly 44 hours per week, possibly including evenings and weekends. You will work with store management to oversee a million-dollar business, learning all operations,

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Must have a valid, unrestricted Driver's License.
• Must have at least a High School diploma or GED.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and 70 lbs occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Complete training as part of the program.
• Support sales strategies to increase profitability.
• Provide excellent customer service to drive satisfaction.
• Develop product knowledge to recommend suitable solutions.
• Build relationships with wholesale and retail customers.
• Assist with store administration and operations.
• Comply with safety, loss prevention, and policy rules.
• Maintain clean, well‑lit shelves and displays.
• Support coaching and development of teammates.
• Handle customer and employee inquiries professionally.
• Collaborate with Store Manager on outside sales efforts.
