Job summary

Amazon Inc. is seeking a Retail Lead Associate (Reduced-Time) in Austin, TX to shine as the face of Amazon for customers and to support CXO operations in a fast-paced retail setting.

You will engage customers, manage inventory, mentor peers, and help shape a culture of customer obsession while ensuring safety and quality. The role requires available hours, lifting up to 49 lbs, and flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent diploma.
• Are 18 years of age or older.
• 1+ years retail or customer-facing, or 1+ years floor leader or other leadership, or 1+ years Amazon experience.

Responsibilities

• Interact with customers by effectively using customer engagement strategies and model desired behavior for the rest of the team.
• Utilize inventory management systems to scan, process, and count product.
• Provide peer-to-peer feedback on processes and standards, solving customer issues where appropriate.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of the customer experience and operations.
• Help identify barriers and trends that impact customer and associate experience and support the manager.
• Maintain physical safety and quality standards of the site.
• Work in a fast changing and ambiguous environment.
• Perform additional duties, as assigned.
• Work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Lift up to 49 pounds and stand/walk during long shifts.
